We will be doing a study of all of the different body systems, how they work, what they do, and how you may be able to rebalance them. We will be studying one or two body systems in depth during each class for the next several months. We have found in the past, that the better people understand how their body systems work, they better they are able to make wise decisions about their health and wellness. We will be starting our study with the circulatory system.
We haven’t done these types of classes for several years, and at the request of many, decided to begin doing them once again. The cells in our body require a continuous supply of food and oxygen. But at the same time, waste materials such as carbon dioxide etc. that are produced by our cells must be removed. This is where the circulatory system comes in. Our circulatory system is a huge nework of approximately 60,000 miles of blood vessels, which are powered by the heart. The heart is the main player on the circulatory team. Our capillaries, believe it or not, are only the thickness of one small cell, which means that it is easy to exchange nutrients, waste product, water, oxygen and carbon dioxide between the blood, and the tissues.
